JOB TITLE:  Inbound Specialist

LOCATION: Buenos Aires, Argentina

DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain   

REPORTS TO: Manager, Supply Chain

To assist the Distribution & Logistics Manager or SC Manager/Director with various operational tasks, including promotional activities, day-to-day supply chain management, inbound & outbound activities, reporting, chargeback process and project support.

To execute and monitor the inbound processes for Under Armour in such a way that the logistic product flows (Inbound port to 3PL) run efficiently and effectively and the service provided to the customer meets the relevant standards.

To keep abreast of developments in the field of transportation, carriers, imports/exports and clearance.

Inbound and Outbound Coordination (Internal & 3PL)

  • Assist in daily business operations of Under Armour logistics, including daily order management of outbound and Inbound shipping and vendor invoicing, maintaining clear records and communication as it relates to inbound and outbound flows.
  • Keep master data base up to date.
  • Support customs broker for DJCPs and SIMI creations.
  • Follow up inbound cargos with forwarder agent and process paperwork
  • Revise and control forwarder and customs broker invoices
  • Work with Distribution Manager to optimize inbound and warehouse capacity utilization.
  • Report operational performance and progress toward achieving business metrics (capacity, shipping, open orders, pending delivery).
  •  Interpret and review operational results with Logistics Manager, including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive process improvements and new initiatives.


  • Maintains contacts with the various departments regarding the expected arrival of production orders.
  • Plans and organises the transportation of the orders from the production locations to the 3PL. Keeps abreast of progress and handles problems when necessary.
  • Monitors the quality of transport and periodically evaluates the service, the quality and the transport costs with the carriers.
  • Reports periodically on the logistic performance and makes suggestions for improving transport to the Senior Manager SCM and the Manager Logistics.

    Administrative activities

  • Prepares or provides any necessary documents for the clearance procedure.
  • Maintains a clear record of all SC related costs (clearance, transport) per shipment/PO.
  • Collaborates with 3PL & UA CS teams to ensure smooth functioning of B1 system – maintaining inventory integrity, and collaborating with regional resources for any further system developments required given business needs.  Maintains a clear project plan and / or action tracker for all necessary process changes.
  • Uses the business system to enter stock on delivery at the warehouse (manual ASN creation).
  • Reviews traffic and customs invoices and reports on cost development.
  • As new processes are implemented, efficiently creates and regularly amends SOP documents, archived in an public space for inbound/outbound activities.
  • Proactively deliver analytical Logistics/WHS detail for the RTB and S&OP reporting meetings
  • Responsible for following up the customs broker KPIs with compliance


    Key Responsibility for RDC in Projects, such as:

  • 3PL Optimization (ex. Auto ASN project)
  • WMS Implementation – Interfaces between Under Armour and 3PL
  • Investment proposals and quote comparisons
  • Carrier proposals and quote comparisons
  • Any other projects as directed by the Regional Office in Panama or Baltimore
